BulanBloom is a technology platform that facilitates discovery, introductions, records and booking-fee collection. Unless expressly stated otherwise, BulanBloom is not the employer, worker, employment agent, medical provider or party to the direct care agreement.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, keep login links secure and use the platform only for lawful purposes. A nanny must have the legal right and required approvals to provide the proposed service.
2. Profiles, review and introductions
Nanny profile review checks whether submitted information is suitable for publication; it is not a guarantee of identity, skill, outcome or availability. Families choose whether to request contact. Nannies choose whether to accept. BulanBloom may correct, pause or remove content that is misleading, unsafe or unlawful.
3. Direct care agreement
The family and nanny contract directly. They must review and agree dates, duties, rest, accommodation, nanny fees, payment timing, cancellation, emergency arrangements and household rules. BulanBloom records their confirmations but does not become a party to that agreement.
4. Immigration and permits
The family and nanny are responsible for confirming all immigration, work authorisation, insurance, medical and local requirements. For a Malaysian confinement nanny working in Singapore, the eligible family employer or appointed employment agent must complete the applicable Ministry of Manpower process. Care must not start until the required Work Permit is effective. The platform may block a start or completion record until permit readiness is recorded.
5. Fees and payment
The family pays BulanBloom the displayed platform booking fee through Stripe after both parties confirm the direct care terms. The family pays the nanny fee directly according to their agreement. Taxes, currency conversion and bank charges remain the payer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.
6. Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Direct-care cancellation and nanny-fee disputes are governed by the family-nanny agreement. Platform-fee refund requests are assessed under the terms shown at checkout and applicable consumer law. Users must preserve relevant messages and evidence and cooperate with a fair review. Chargebacks do not replace the platform complaint process.
7. Safety and acceptable use
Do not harass, discriminate, impersonate, bypass agreed payment records, upload malicious material, scrape private data or use another person’s account. Emergencies must be directed to local emergency or medical services; BulanBloom is not an emergency service.
8. Reviews and content
You retain ownership of submitted content and grant BulanBloom permission to host, display and process it for the service. Reviews must be based on genuine completed care. We may moderate content and use clearly labelled AI assistance to summarise consented review themes.
9. Suspension and liability
We may restrict access to protect users, investigate suspected misconduct or comply with law. To the extent permitted by law, BulanBloom is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions or care outcomes of families or nannies. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes, law and contact
Material changes receive a new version and may require renewed acceptance. These terms are governed by Singapore law, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Contact support@bulanbloom.com with questions or use the data rights process for privacy requests.
